200 People Line Up in Boulder for iPhone 3G
Thursday, July 10th, 2008 at 4:00 PM - by Bryan Chaffin & Jeff Gamet
More than 200 people have lined up at the Flatiron Crossing Apple Store in Broomfield Colorado outside Boulder to be the first to get Apples new iPhone 3G. Despite the likelihood that Apple will have plenty of iPhones on hand to satisfy demand, the line began to form at 4:00 A.M. local.
One of the most interesting aspects we noticed about the folks in line is that we found the vast majority of them had smartphones other than a first generation iPhone in their hands. While that observation is anecdotal, it does suggest that the move to 3G is bringing new customers to Apples banner.
Well have more details to report later in the day.
