Altec Lansing Introduces iPod Video System

Altec Lansing has announced its iMV712, a compact audio and video entertainment system for video iPods. The system includes an 8.5-inch LCD screen.

In addition to the LCD display, the system includes two 3-inch speaker drivers for mids and highs and a built-in 4-inch subwoofer.

"As the popularity of Internet-based video and digital music skyrockets, consumers want new iPod accessory products that amplify the entire entertainment experience," said Robert Heiblim, Altec Lansing�s senior vice president of Sales and Marketing. "The iMV712 redefines the concept of an iPod speaker system, delivering consumers a stylish, compact one-two punch of high-fidelity stereo sound plus video display � an ideal digital shelf system for any area of the home or office."

The unit includes the standard 30-pin iPod connector, RCA and S-video out connectors and includes a wireless remote.

The iMV712 will ship in May and is priced at US$349.95.
