Apple Announces iPhone Service Plans [UPDATED]

Apple revealed the iPhone service packages on Tuesday that customers can sign up for once the combination iPod and smartphone starts selling on June 29. Three packages are available, and all include unlimited data plans, Visual Voicemail, 200 SMS messages, roll-over minutes, and unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling.

For US$59.99 a month, iPhone customers will get 450 minutes plus 5,000 nights and weekend minutes, $79.99 includes 900 minutes a month, and unlimited nights and weekends and $99.99 comes with 1,350 minutes a month and unlimited nights and weekends. A one-time $36 activation fee is required, and family plans will also be available.

iPhone will be available at 6 p.m. local time on Friday, June 29, at Apple and AT&T retail stores, and the Apple online store. The 4GB model is priced at US$499, and the 8GB model costs $599.
