Apple Celebrates 2 Years of Free Songs

Apple started its free Single of the Week feature on the iTunes Music Store two years ago, and is celebrating its success by highlighting some of the artists that have grown more popular during that time. Each artist has had a song featured some time during the Single of the Week program.

Some of the highlighted artists and bands include John Legend, James Blunt, Sugarland, The Fray, and Josh Rouse. The Single of the Week Staff Favorites are also available as a 27 song album for US$26.73.

Apple also announced several new albums on Tuesday, including IV from Godsmack, Director from Avant, and the self-titled album from Phil Wickham.
