Apple Corporate Store Hit With Theft

Apple's corporate store at One Infinite Loop in Cupertino was victimized by theft on Monday, the San Jose Mercury News reported Tuesday. A pair of 80GB iPods and 10 software packages were reported missing, totaling nearly US$5,000 in retail value, which was on top of the 11 iPods that disappeared recently.
Two iPod nanos vanished from a shipment that arrived at the store from Apple's Elk Grove, Calif. facility, while nine more iPods were noticed missing during an inventory. A Santa Clara County sheriff's deputy told the newspaper that the devices were out on the sales floor and weren't locked up.
The sheriff's department has no suspects in either case.
