Apple Launches Web Apps Site

Apple quietly launched a special page on its Web site the week that lists Web-based applications designed for the iPhone and iPod touch. The directory includes a wide range of applications grouped into categories like Entertainment, Games, Productivity, and Travel, and more.

Like Apple’s Dashboard widget directory, the Web apps directory offers staff picks and a list for the most popular applications. So far, there are over 200 applications available.
