Apple, Others Sued Over Media Distribution Patent

Apple, Google and Napster are on the receiving end of a lawsuit that alleges the companies are violating an online digital entertainment distribution patent. According to Forbes, the patent holder, Intertainer Inc., filed the case in a Federal court in Texas on December 29. The company is seeking unspecified damages.
Intertainer launched in 1996 with an online audio and video on-demand service for the Internet and cable TV markets. It closed down the service in 2002 after filing antitrust suits against Sony, Vivendi Universal and AOL Time Warner.
