- This is Weather Reports quintessential line-up captured live. Jaco Pastorious and Peter Erskine join Wayne Shorter and, of course, Joe Zawinul to create this masterpiece.

Apple Planning a Sept. 12 Event?
Thursday, August 31st, 2006 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
Apple is apparently getting ready to invite the media to a special event to be held in northern California on Tuesday, Sept. 12, according to various reports cited by an iLounge news item. iPodObserver.com is trying to obtain confirmation of that and will post more information when we do.
The company has already said it won't hold a keynote speech to kick off Apple Expo in Paris, which opens on Sept. 12. However, Apple is definitely hosting a press event on Sept. 25 at the Photokina trade show in Cologne, as our sister site, The Mac Observer, reported last month. While that event will likely be related to the company's Aperture pro photography software, expectations run high that the Sept. 12 event will see the unveiling of new iPods, the addition of feature movies to the iTunes Music Store, and possibly refreshed Macs.
