Apple Releases free iPod Touch 1.1.5 Update

Apple Inc. has released a free update for the iPod touch, bringing iPod touch software to version 1.1.5. The update is showing up for people who have not paid US$10 to update to iPod touch 2.0 which brings most of the same benefits as iPhone 2.0 brought for the iPhone (for instance, the App Store).
Macworld’s Chris Breen noted, however, that he can not find any specific changes in iPod touch 1.1.5 as compared to iPod touch 1.1.4. Mr. Breen updated one iPod touch to 1.1.5 and then ran through the interface side by side with a unit still running 1.1.4 of the software.
With Apple’s usual cryptic update notes that don’t specify any changes, Mr. Breen said he could only assume that any changes are under-the-hood.
If you want to update anyway, and have not already updated to version 2.0, simply plug your iPod touch into your Mac or PC, and follow the usual update instructions.
