Apple Releases iTunes 7.7.1 Update

Apple released a minor update for its iTunes media player and management application late Wednesday evening. The stunningly scant release notes for iTunes 7.7.1 state only that the update "includes fixes to improve stability and performance."
iTunes 7.7 or higher is required for iPhone 3G users, iPhone and iPod touch users with Software Update 2.0 installed, and is also required for accessing the App Store or using Apple’s Remote application for the iPhone and iPod touch.
iTunes is free for Mac OS X and Windows users. The update is available via Apple’s Software Update application or as a downloadable installer at the Apple iTunes Web site.
