Apple Revamps iPod with 160GB Storage, New Name [Updated]

Apple announced the next generation of the iPod, now dubbed the iPod classic, at its "The Beat Goes On" media event on Wednesday. The new video-capable iPod classic will be available in 80GB and 160GB capacities.

The new models are thinner than the models they replace, sport a brushed aluminum and stainless steel body, and feature the same updated interface found on the new iPod nano including Cover Flow for viewing and selecting albums or individual songs for playback.
