Apple Stores to Host Live Music

Two Apple stores will host live music events this month, with Alien Ant Farm and Katie Melua performing at the Santa Monica location on July 20 and 25, respectively, and The 88 playing at the store at The Grove in Los Angeles the next day. Macworld UK noted that the company's London store started the trend of live events, which were recorded and later released on the iTunes Music Store.

It's unknown if Apple will sell recordings of its U.S. music events through the iTMS. As iPodObserver.com posted this article, the Web page for the Apple store at The Grove had not been updated yet with information about the The 88 event.
