Apple VP Ive Collects CBE in London

Apple's senior vice president of industrial design, Jonathan Ive, collected his Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) award in London on Friday. Macworld UK reported that Queen Elizabeth presented him with the honor. Mr. Ive was included in a list of CBE recipients on December 31, 2005.
Mr. Ive was honored for his Apple product designs, and his influence on industrial design throughout the world.
Before coming to Apple Computer, Mr. Ive was a partner in Tangerine, a London-based design firm. Many of his designs are on display in museums throughout the world.
