Apple iPhone Rumors Surface Again

Sources from inside cell phone maker BenQ are saying that Apple is procuring parts from the same providers it uses to manufacture its own iPod phone. According to Smarthouse, the insiders claim that Apple is planning on introducing a phone in the next few months.
Smarthouse quotes a BenQ executive as saying "An iPod phone is definitely coming. BenQ will not be making it as we are in competition with Apple however several of our suppliers have been approached to manufacture parts. Among manufacturers in Taiwan it is common knowledge."
An Apple-branded cell phone is something consumers have been begging for over the past few years. Rumors of pending product releases have been cropping up ever since people first started talking about an "iPhone." So far, there is no tangible proof to back up this latest music playing phone rumor.
Some analysts, however, are predicting that Apple's phone is really on the way. Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster projects we'll see an Apple phone in the next 12 months. Bill Shope of J.P. Morgan thinks we could see a device by the fourth quarter of this year.
