Apple’s iPhone Discussions Move to Scandinavia

Swedish and Norwegian telecommunication companies TeliaSonera and Telenor said they are in discussions with Apple to carry the iPhone there, according to MarketWatch on Friday.
Representatives form both companies told Dow Jones that they are "very interested in the iPhone."
"We have seen immense interest in the iPhone from our customers," said Anders Krokan, Telenor spokesman. "We are still in talks, but I doubt we would be able to offer the iPhone this year."
The news suggests that Apple is conducting a sequential engagement with possible European carriers, a strategy that allows the previous agreements to kindle interest during current discussions with new partners.
