Bargain Basement Apple iPhone Only US$1000.00

The Apple iPhone isn’t for sale anywhere, but some people with more money than sense are bidding for the 8 GB iPhone at up to US$1000.00 on eBay, according to T3.
One seller is even promising a 14 karat Gold iPhone for a mere US$10,000.
Even though the phone may not yet be approved by the F.C.C. and no specific ship date has been announced, some bidders seem willing to pay quite a bit more than retail.
"eBay has stayed silent over the auction, but it does breach rules about prereleases actually requiring a date when they�re due on shelves before being put on the site," T3 reported.
It’s a testament to Apple’s grapevine marketing schemes that this mobile phone is so widely anticipated and desired. Even so, it remains to be seen whether Apple can make enough of the phones to avoid a long back order phase or whether the already hefty price will make them readily available at the local Cingular/AT&T stores in July. We won’t have to wait long to find out.
