Belgacom Teams Up With iTunes

Belgium’s Belgacom announced that it is teaming up with Apple to provide music downloads through the iTunes Music Store (iTMS). According to Brussels Review, Belgacom has been operating the Belgacom Skynet Music Club since 2002, and decided to team up with Apple instead of competing.
Skynet Music Club will stop selling its music packages, giving customers until the end of March to use their remaining credits. Future purchases will route through the iTMS, and current Skynet subscribers will get 20 iTMS credits that they can use through the end of April.
Belgacom also plans to add iTMS payments to monthly telephone bills by the middle of the year, allowing subscribers to pay for their iTunes purchases as a part of their regular monthly phone service.
