Gimme Fiction by Spoon is a terrific album by an Austin band that I was lucky enough to catch on an Austin radio station during a Christmas visit.

C|Net: Optus One of Several Australian iPhone Carriers
Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 at 4:00 PM - by John Martellaro
Optus will be one of several carriers in Australia to carry the iPhone, according to an industry insider cited by C|Net Australia.
While the source did not confirm a 3G version, the fact that Optus was expecting upgrade models was mentioned.
There has been much speculation on whether there would be multiple carriers in Australia, and, if so, which ones.
According to the report, Telstra, which operates an EDGE network, could be left behind if the only iPhone offered is one that only works on the 3G network.
The Optus confirmation is not official, and things have been known to change at the last minute. Even so, Optus said it plans to make an announcement in mid-May and sell the iPhone starting in late June. That information syncs with a previous story by the Commercial Times in China that iPhone 3G deliveries will begin in June.
