Cambridge SoundWorks Introduces PlayDock i

Cambridge Soundworks introduced the PlayDock i, a high fidelity docking speaker station for iPod 5G, iPod photo, iPod mini, and iPod nano on Tuesday.

Features include: a "Wide Stereo Effect" which produces superior stereo imaging, a built-in subwoofer with bass control, operation on battery or AC power, a headphone jack for private listening, and a video-out connector which enables the sharing of pictures and videos with a resolution of 640 x 480. The PlayDock i is magnetically shielded and can be placed next to a TV or display without interference.

The PlayDock i is priced at US$199 and will be available in January 2007. (A similar product, the PlayDock ZEN for the Creative ZEN, is available immediately.)
