Canada’s iPhone 3G Service Plan Looks A Lot Like AT&T’s

Leaked information about iPhone 3G service plans for Canadian customers show details that look strikingly similar to AT&T’s plans for U.S. customers. If the leaked memo is legit, Rogers customers will have to activate their iPhone in store at the time of purchase, and will pay CA$199 for the 8GB model and $299 for the 16GB model.
The leaked memo appeared on the ehMac.ca Web site forums. It also details other requirements including voice and data plan pricing.
It appears that customers will be required to sign a three-year service contract, and will include a $30 unlimited wireless data plan on top of current voice plans. Customers that have already signed two or three year contracts will be able to move to an iPhone as well.
Rogers has not confirmed that the leaked information is accurate, but if it is, then Canadian iPhone owners can expect to pay for service plans that are similar to their AT&T counterparts.
