China Motor Adds iPod Support to Cars
Tuesday, May 9th, 2006 at 4:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
China Motor is working with Apple to iPod compatible in-car audio systems, making it the first Taiwan-based car manufacturer to do so. Several different car lines are expected to offer what China Motor has dubbed the iMusic System. According to DigiTimes, the technology has been in development and testing for over a year, and is now offered in the Virage iO and Lancer iCON cars.
If market response is good, the iMusic System will be offered in other vehicle lines as well, and may even show up in Mitsubishi cars, one of the other brands China Motor manufactures.
