Clear Channel to Add Video Podcasts

Clear Channel Communications plans to start experimenting with video podcasts of its radio personalities, according to the Wall Street Journal. The broadcasting company will start by offering a commercial-free version of Rush Limbaugh's talk show to members of the US$7 a month Rush 24/7 club.

Club members also get access to Limbaugh's 60-second daily update the night before it actually airs.

Clear Channel hopes that the video podcasts will drive up fan loyalty. If the test-run is successful, it plans on expanding its video podcasts to other programs.
