Computerworld On iPhone: Best. Phone. Ever.

After years of abject hate for cell phones and their designs, Computerworld’s Michael DeAgonia found what he was looking for in Apple’s iPhone. He calls it the "Best. Phone. Ever."

Mr. DeAgonia goes on to say "To call the iPhone the best phone I’ve ever used is the biggest understatement of the decade. It’s like saying Jupiter is big, or infinity a long time."

What sets the iPhone apart is that the form, function, and design all work together. Instead of forcing features to conform to tiny keypads and little screens, the Apple’s combination iPod and smart phone do away with the small display and offer a graphic touch-sensitive interface.

The iPhone’s unique interface makes it easy to find and use features instead of leaving users to wander lost through cryptic menus and sub-menus. That easy of use means the iPhone’s features are more likely to get used that those found on other cell phones.

"You can’t help be reminded of classic science fiction, in which devices are so easy to use anyone can pick up anything and begin operating it," he added. "That’s what the iPhone is."
