Covert Operative Leaks Sirius-XM App for iPhone
Tuesday, August 12th, 2008 at 4:00 PM - by John Martellaro
A "covert operative" has leaked information about a Sirius-XM satellite radio app for the iPhone, according to Orbitcast on Wednesday. The project is in alpha, and battery life tests are going well.
The article has a wealth of screen shots that show login and channel selection screens. The app will be called StarPlayr.

If this product is real and makes it market, that will be good news for Sirius-XM. Analysts have attributed some of the recent difficulties of satellite radio, conceived of long before the iPod, on MP3 players, Internet and HD radio, relatively new technologies that have reduced customer focus on radio from orbit.
With luck, that covert operative wont get a Burn Notice.
