Doubling an iPod nano’s Storage and Other Tricks
Monday, March 13th, 2006 at 2:00 PM - by Brad Cook
Playlist's Mathew Honan on Tuesday published a column called "Eight Great iPod Hacks, Mods and Tricks," in which he shared such customization tips as doubling the storage in an iPod nano (broken iPod nano required) or even fitting a PSP's faceplate in an iPod to make the screen more resistant to scratches.
While Mr. Honan acknowledged that both of those subjects require disassembling the MP3 player and thus aren't for the "faint of heart," he did cover other, less scary hacks, such as grafting a radio transmitter to the device or putting feature-length movies on an iPod video. He also delved into iPodLinux, which is necessary to install Wikipedia, the arcade game emulator iPodMAME, and other utilities.
