Facebook Gives Away 10 Million iTunes Music Samplers
Monday, July 24th, 2006 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
Social directory site Facebook on Tuesday announced a back-to-school promotion in which it will give away 10 million 25-song samplers from the iTunes Music Store. One million samplers will be given away each week for the next ten weeks; each sampler will feature songs from a variety of genres, including alternative, rock, hip-hop, and electronica.
Anyone who has a valid e-mail address from a supported school or company can join Facebook and exchange information about themselves with other users. Facebook lets them create networks around their high schools, colleges, or workplaces, as well as share photos, join groups, and more.
Facebook also offers its users access to Apple's education discount, as well as Apple's current back-to-school promotion, which gives a free iPod nano to those who purchase a new Mac.
