Freeverse on Wednesday said that Flick Fishing players should soon be able to download a major update to the game. Version 1.2, which has been submitted to Apple for approval, features a Quest mode in which players assist the Old Guy in the Lighthouse with his new job at the islands virtual aquarium by catching fish for him. Players can now also unlock eXtreme Fishing Mode, which offers much bigger fish that require more skill to reel them in.
Other additions include an unlockable location, Night Fishing, unlockable power-ups for catching bigger fish, three-, five- and 10-minute tournament length options, and various bug fixes and performance improvements, including a CPU player who competes more ethically in tournaments. Lures and spinners also now work without floats and four new fish have been added: brown trout, bream, wahoo, and what Freeverse calls "a new named fish."
