Fox Movies May Join iTunes

News Corp.'s top executive revealed on Wednesday that the company is negotiating with Apple Computer to bring its Fox Movie library to the iTunes Store. According to CNN Money, the company's president and chief operating officer, Peter Chernin, made the announcement during a quarterly fiscal results conference call with investors.
No date for Fox's movies to appear on iTunes has been set yet, and the two companies are still negotiating the details. The tone of the talks is "positive," according to Mr. Chernin.
News Corp already offers programming from its Fox Television Network, including the popular Prison Break, 24, and Bones.
So far, only Disney is offering feature length movies through the iTunes Store. Based on poor performance at other online movie download sites, like Amazon's Unbox, other studios are likely to turn to Apple in hopes of finding the same success that its online music store has seen.
Fox's movie offerings could be a great addition to the iTunes Store. The studio is home to many well known films including the Star Wars series, Ice Age,
