- Massive Attack
"Black Milk" knocks me off my feet in this collection of moody and eclectic songs. Massive Attack uses samples and keyboards in a very unique way, but not all the songs pack the same punch.
- The Who
Quadrophenia is everything that Tommy wanted to be, a rock opera that told a story, but one where every song could still stand alone. It was also Pete Townshend's farewell tribute to the Mod

The Asylum Street Spankers are...well...The Spankers. Hailing from Austin, where I saw them live dozens of times, the band played entirely acousti

France Reducing iPod Levy
Sunday, November 27th, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
France will reduce the levy paid on Flash-based music players, like the iPod nano and shuffle, as early as this week, according to Playlist. The levy, currently set at just over €50 (US$59), will drop to about €8 ($9.38).
Frances levy for Flash-based music players is being revised because it has been based on the smaller capacities of devices back in 2001. The reduction will bring Flash-based devices in line with the levies on other storage devices, like hard drives.
Although Apple isnt sure yet how much of an impact the change will have on iPod sales in France, it is likely to help. The levy currently adds up to about 16 percent of a 4GB nanos total price, making it cost €60 more in France than it does in Germany.
The levy France imposes covers copyright fees. It isnt the only European country to impose a copyright levy, but it is one of the most expensive.
