From the Show Floor: Samson’s H4 "Handy Recorder"

ONTARIO, CA -- Samson showed off its new prosumer, portable recording solution, the Zoom H4 Handy Recorder at the Podcast and Portable Media Expo on Friday. Competing with products made by M-Audio, Edirol, and Marantz, the H4 is priced below its competitors and offers a number of extremely cool features.

The H4 is surprisingly light and compact, and includes built-in stereo mics. It can supply phantom power to condenser mics, and doubles as an audio interface for computers. The H4 also includes a number of built-in digital audio effects, such as reverb, compression, and more.
The Zoom H4 carries an MSRP of US$299.
