Gefen Announces HD Mate Scaler for HDTV

Gefen announced on Monday the addition of the HD Mate Scaler to is line of video scalers. The HD Mate Scaler integrates different video formats, converts them to DVI, and scales the video up or down.

The unit has one DVI and two component video inputs as well as TOSlink and RCA audio inputs. The output to a single DVI can be set from 480i up to 1080p. The switching is controlled via an IR remote.

The Gefen HD Mate scaler is available for pre-order and priced at US$349.
