Griffin Updates iTrip for Video iPod

Griffin Technology has updated its iTrip FM transmitter for use with Apple's new fifth generation iPod with video. It's also compatible with all full-size iPods that have dock connectors, including iPod photo, iPod U2 Special Edition and the third and fourth generation iPods.
Griffin's redesigned iTrip features a backlit LCD screen, a switch for selecting the broadcast frequency and the ability to remember its settings. In addition, users can choose between LX or DX broadcasting modes as well as U.S. and international tuning modes.
The iTrip draws its power from the iPod and includes a mini USB port for charging the MP3 player while in use. Pricing is US$49.99 and Griffin said the new product will ship later this month.
