Home Media Magazine Poll Shows Overwhelming Blu-Ray Support

Home Media Magazine has been conducting a poll on the results of the Warner decision favoring Blu-ray and the subsequent five to two studio support for Blu-ray. Fifty six percent, so far, said that they’ve already converted to Blu-ray and another 20 percent said the Warner decision will prompt them to convert to HD faster. Only 12 percent said they’ve converted to HD DVD and will stick it out.

The total number of voters was not divulged. Recent data from Nielsen Videoscan suggests that the recent price drops for HD DVD players is helping the sales of HD DVD titles, but as of the week ending February 3rd the sales ratio remains 3:1 for Blu-ray movies.
