Ignitek Expands Speaker System Offerings

Speaker specialist Ignitek is showing off its latest iPod speaker solution at Macworld Expo San Francisco, the iCheer 212 for iPod nano.

Substantially smaller than the $49.99 iCheer 202 for iPod shuffle, the 212 weighs less than 7 ounces and supports both AC and battery power via 4 AAA batteries. The 212 features two 1.5-inch 1W speakers, can charge the iPod nano, and can run for over 30 hours on batteries. The iCheer 212 will ship in February with information on the product arriving on the company’s site before then.

Along with the iCheer 202 and 212, Ignitek is also demonstrating the iCruiser ($99.99) and iCarrier ($249.99) speaker systems, which have been shipping for the past number of months. Each speaker system features two channels of audio and a subwoofer, with the iCruiser pumping out 26 total watts and the pedestal-like iCarrier delivering 45 watts.
