Logitech Intros Wireless Music System for iPod
Monday, August 22nd, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
Logitech on Tuesday introduced its new Wireless Music System for iPod, which enables users to wirelessly connect their iPod, or any other MP3 player to a stereo or speaker system. It comes in two pieces: the transmitter connects to the iPod's headphone port and the receiver plugs into an RCA port or 3.5mm jack on the speakers or stereo receiver.
Logitech notes that the two parts can be up to 33 feet away and still wirelessly transmit music. The Wireless Music System comes with an AC adapter for charging the wireless transmitter, stereo RCA interconnect cables and a remote control. Logitech expects to ship it in October with a suggested retail price of US$149.99.
