MusiCase Combines iPod Carrying Case With Speakers
Sunday, June 26th, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
First International Digital Inc. (FID) on Monday released MusiCase, an iPod accessory that combines a carrying case with two stereo speakers.
The nylon case features two mesh pockets, one large enough to fit an iPod and the other made to accommodate an iPod shuffle, on one side and a pair of stereo speakers on the other. The MP3 player can be left in the case and connected to the speakers, which feature a three-watt amplifier and run on a pair of AA batteries. FID said that the speakers should work for about 15 hours, depending on the volume level.
MusiCase also includes a loop for hooking it to a belt and a detachable carrying strap. The company cited a US$19.99 price in its press release, but its Web site quotes a retail price of $24.99.
