    • This record is perhaps U2's finest hour, yet it has been forgotten as a strange by-product of the ZooTV tour's overload, and is generally regarded by most fans as a poor effort. It is this sentiment t

NBC Plans New Web Programming

NBC plans to expand its Internet-based programming beyond the iTunes Music Store by offering episode premiers for shows from NBC, USA Network, Sci-Fi and Bravo. The new Web sites include Dotcomedy.com that will include content from The Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live, and The Office, as well classic titles like Leave It To Beaver and The Munsters. FirstLook.com will offer web-based episodes of The Office, and extra pre-show "detective's briefings" for Law & Order: Criminal Intent, along with interactive content for other shows.

According to MarketWatch, NBC is looking to bolster its ranking in the network line up, and sees the Internet as another avenue to pursue. NBC's new fall line-up reflects that with tie-ins between broadcast programming and online content.

Although NBC is launching its own series of TV show distribution sites, it isn't likely that it will abandon the iTunes Music Store. Both can be complimentary services to help drive the broadcaster's revenues up.
