NBC, USA, Sci-Fi Join the iTunes Music Store

Several new television programs debuted on the iTunes Music Store (iTMS) on Tuesday. NBC, USA, and the Sci-Fi Channel have all added different shows to Apple's line-up. The iTMS now offers more that 300 episodes from 16 different television shows.

New Shows At the iTunes Music Store

NBC added Law & Order, the US version of The Office, Surface, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. It is also including the vintage programs Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Dragnet, Adam-12, and season one of Knight Rider.

The Sci-Fi Channel added the critically acclaimed Battlestar Galactica mini series, along with every episode that has aired to date, including part one of the mid-season cliff-hanger, Pegasus.

USA Network's Emmy Award winning Monk rounds out the list of new shows, but so far the network is only offering season four, and a partial selection from season one.

Television shows, short movies, and videos are all priced at US$1.99 each, and can be viewed on your computer, iPod, and burned to CD for backup purposes.

NBC, USA and the Sci-Fi channel additions to the iTMS substantially increased the number of available programs. Previously, only Disney, Pixar and ABC were selling shows through the iTMS. ESPN is also in negotiations with Apple to bring some of its programming to the iTMS.
