NPR Hits 4 Million Podcast Downloads

With only two months under its belt, NPR’s podcast downloads hit the four million mark. NPR made 17 programs available through the iTunes Music Store (iTMS) on August 31, and all of them have consistently ranked in the top 100 downloads, and several appear in the top ten.
Story of the Day is NPR’s most downloaded podcast, and their top weekly podcast is All Songs Considered. On the morning of October 31, the iTMS lists four NPR programs in the top 20 spots, with Story of the Day at number four. 7AM ET News holds number 8, All Songs Considered is 11, and Science Friday comes in at 17.
NPR’s podcast selection includes news, cultural programming, and segments from popular series like News & Notes daily roundtable with Ed Gordon, and the Sunday puzzle from Weekend Edition.
