Nike Amp+ for iPod On the Way

It looks like Nike is getting ready to release a new iPod add-on called Nike Amp+. This wristband gadget lets you control your iPod wirelessly, and also lets you monitor your Nike + iPod without requiring you to look at your iPod nano.

The product description in Men'sHealth says the Nike Amp+ uses Bluetooth to communicate with your iPod, but doesn't say if it comes with a Bluetooth adapter. If not, then either the product description is wrong, or Apple may have a Bluetooth-enabled iPod in development.
Nike Amp+ isn't an official product yet since it hasn't actually been released. Instead, it showed up in the Men'sHealth 2007 Tech Guide in the Media Players category. No word on when we can expect this cool iPod add-on to hit store shelves, but is should cost US$80.
