- Goldfrapp
On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

No Starch Press announced Thursday the release of The Cult of iPod, a new book by The Cult of Mac author Leander Kahney. The book takes "a loving look at how Apple's portable player has changed music, culture, and listening behavior for fans around the world."
The publisher said that it also contains the "exclusive" back story of the iPod's development, as well as a look into the culture that has grown up around the iPod.
Other topics include iPod-jacking, iPod DJs, fan-created iPod commercials, the accessories industry that has grown up to support the iPod, and the way that the device has found popularity among celebrities.
The Cult of iPod is now shipping at US$24.95. Amazon lists the book at $16.47.
