- U2
U2's latest entry is a mostly underwhelming collection of songs that does very little to sound any different from its equally pedestrian predecessor, 2000's "All That You Can't Leave Behind." While
- Goldfrapp
On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

Nokia Demonstrates N91 Phone with Podcast Support
Friday, September 29th, 2006 at 3:00 PM - by John F. Braun
Although one normally needs a Mac or PC and a media player to enjoy podcast goodness, the new N91 phone (Nokia's preferred term seems to be multimedia computer, but beyond the marketing-speak, it's still a phone) has everything one needs to subscribe and listen to a wide variety of podcasts. As long as you have network access via a Wireless LAN, HSDPA, 3G or EDGE network, you can access podcasts. Just hit the Application key, open the My Own folder, then select and open the Podcasting icon to launch the Nokia Podcasting application. You can then search, discover, subscribe and download the latest podcasts.

The N91 reportedly uses the OPML protocol (think of it as a way to organize RSS feeds) to obtain podcast information. The current provider of this OPML directory is digitalpodcast.com and a quick test confirmed that one could subscribe to The Mac Observer's own Mac Geek Gab podcast (produced by this author and Dave Hamilton) with the N91.
You can check out Nokia's Nseries site and podcasting site for more information.
