- Beck
Beck is the modern master of the groove, and Guero is merely the latest example of this. From the opening power chords of "E-Pro," to the Pac-Man cuteness of "Girl," to the dirge-like lullab

O2 Lands British iPhone Deal
Wednesday, September 12th, 2007 at 4:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
The British mobile phone service provider O2 agreed to a revenue sharing deal with Apple on Wednesday as part of an agreement to carry the iPhone in the U.K. The agreement means that Apple and O2 are now in a position to be able to announce when the combination iPod and smart phone will finally be available to U.K. customers, according to Times Online.
O2 competitor Vodaphone was involved in negotiations with Apple as well, but apparently pulled out of the process because it was unwilling to agree to a revenue sharing deal. O2 CEO Peter Erskine, however, chose to continue negotiating because he felt revenue sharing would be advantageous for his company.
"If sharing revenue brings a bigger pie to the table, then well be happy to share that pie," he said. "The revenue sharing model will play an increasingly important role in the future of converged communications."
Mr. Erskines announcement may be a prelude to Apples "Mum is no longer the word" media event scheduled for September 18 in London. Many Apple watchers are expecting the company will announce a U.K. iPhone distribution deal at the event.
