OWC, NewerTech Introduce RoadTrip!+ for iPod
Thursday, April 28th, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
NewerTech and Other World Computing (OWC) have released the iPod accessory RoadTrip!+, which upgrades the functionality of the original RoadTrip! by including the ability to charge the MP3 player's battery in addition to broadcasting music to a car stereo set to 87.9 FM. It plugs into a 12-volt power source (also known as a cigarette lighter) and is compatible with third- and fourth-generation iPods as well as the photo and mini models.
Pricing is US$27.95. The original RoadTrip! remains available for $14.99. The cable that leads from the dock plug to the power input is 30 inches.
