Olive Offers Opus Music Server With Up to 750GB Storage

Olive Media Products, Inc. on Wednesday announced a new music server, called Opus, that comes in 400GB (US$2,999), 500GB ($3,499) and 750GB ($3,999) capacities. The company noted that the 750GB version can hold up to 2,100 CDs in lossless quality.
Opus can read and burn CDs as well as read DVDs. Its 2 million song database enables it to access artist, song, and album information without an Internet connection. The server also features an Ethernet port and 802.11g Wi-Fi wireless networking and has a pair of USB 2.0 ports for connecting an iPod or other MP3 player and offloading music to it. Available ports include a headphone jack, Toslink and coaxial digital outputs, a gold-plated RCA output, and a gold-plated RCA input.
Olive also offers Musica, another music server available in 160GB ($1,099) and 250GB versions ($1,499).
