- Goldfrapp
On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

Philips Denies Abandoning Plasma Displays
Wednesday, March 14th, 2007 at 4:00 PM - by John Martellaro
Some sites have reported that Philips Consumer Electronics is phasing out its Plasma display line. TMO contacted Philips, and they claimed otherwise.
Terry Fassburg, VP of Brand Communications of Philips Electronics, North America told TMO that this is not true.
In addition, Lindsay Woods of Philips Consumer Electronics provided this clarification: "In fact, we do still make and sell plasmas and have some in our line up this year.
"Incorrectly reported comments on a Russian news website have suggested that Philips is pulling out of the PDP (Plasma Display Panel) FlatTV market. For the foreseeable future, Philips will continue to include gas plasma-based sets in its overall product mix of FlatTVs sold around the world. Since Philips introduced the worlds first plasma-based FlatTV over 10 years ago, it has consistently applied the best display technologies available to meet consumer needs, using both plasma and LCD panels to manage the product mix in the most optimum way. However, it is widely acknowledged that over time LCD will become the dominant flat panel TV technology, serving all screen sizes currently addressed by both LCD and PDP solutions, and this will inevitably shape Philips product strategy in this market segment."
