- Spoon
Gimme Fiction by Spoon is a terrific album by an Austin band that I was lucky enough to catch on an Austin radio station during a Christmas visit.
- Massive Attack
"Black Milk" knocks me off my feet in this collection of moody and eclectic songs. Massive Attack uses samples and keyboards in a very unique way, but not all the songs pack the same punch.

PortalPlayer CEO to Resign
Thursday, July 27th, 2006 at 3:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
PortalPlayer's CEO and president, Gary Johnson, plans to resign from the company by the end of the year. Mr. Johnson says he is leaving to pursue pre-IPO opportunities. "My true passion is in leading companies through their initial rapid growth," he said.
The company said that it will look for a new CEO over the next few months.
PortalPlayer gained much of its success by providing system-on-a-chip processors to Apple for the iPod. In April, the company announced that Apple wouldn't be using its chips in upcoming products.
