On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

Shinza Debuts Four New iPod Products

Shinza this week introduced four new iPod products: retractable FireWire and USB cables, BoomBall iPod Speakers, and a polycarbonate case for the iPod nano. The retractable FireWire cable (US$14.95) features a dock connector on one end and a 6-pin FireWire plug on the other. It stretches nearly five feet when extended, the same as the retractable USB cable ($14.95), which has a USB 2.0 plug rather than a FireWire plug.
The BoomBall iPod Speakers ($24.95) connect to an iPods headphone port and dont require batteries or AC power. They come in white, pink, or black.
Finally, the polycarbonate iPod nano case ($16.95) is a two-piece, see-through shell with openings for the click wheel, screen, and ports.
