Shure Launches Music Phone Adapter for iPhone

Shure, Inc launched on Tuesday their Music Phone Adapter (MPA) for the iPhone. The new device is a sleek modular accessory that converts the new Shure Sound Isolating Earphones into a stereo headset and allows Apple iPhone users to switch seamlessly between listening and communicating.

The features of the MPA include:

  • Low-profile VoicePort Microphone: Tuned to enhance intelligibility regardless of background noise, this professional grade Shure microphone uses Voice Port technology to provide superior sound quality and ensure that callers hear each other clearly even in noisy environments.
  • Control Button: Offers enhanced functionality and convenience by enabling consumers to easily send and end calls—without touching their phones. Additionally, with many phones, the control button activates call waiting, last number redial, voice dialing and mute.
  • Detachable, Modular Design: Provides greater flexibility by allowing users to remove the MPA in situations in which it isn’t needed—such as at the gym or on a flight.
  • Two-Year Limited Warranty: Offers rugged durability, guaranteeing long-lasting performance.

Shure MPA (without Shure earphones)

The MPA-3c will be available to customers in the U.S. in August, 2007. The Shure Sound Isolating Earhones are available separately. The MPA is priced at US$39.95.
