T-Mobile Will Retain iPhone Exclusivity in Germany

A T-Mobile chief executive said on Tuesday that his company will remain the sole distributor of the iPhone in Germany, according to Reuters.
"We have a very good relationship with Apple ... at least in Germany it is exclusive, and we expect it to remain as such," said T-Mobile Chief Executive Hamid Akhavan. "If and when there is a 3G iPhone we expect to have it exclusively in Germany as well," he added.
Recent reports have suggested that Apple will alter its traditional business arragement of one sole carrier per country, but only in some countries.
For example, T-Mobiles parent company, Deutsche Telekom is selling the iPhone in Austria. However, last week Orange, which sells the iPhone in France, announced that it will also sell the iPhone in Austria.
